Every step for Molly, Mary and John.

I am running the Boston Marathon with the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team, and this is the webpage through which you can support my fundraising efforts.

Every dollar my teammates and I raise supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research, which funds the brightest, most creative scientists making basic research discoveries. Here are brief descriptions of 16 selected projects supported by the Barr Program, illustrating some of the program's most significant impacts to date.

Thank you for your support! Together, we can bring Dana-Farber toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.

For the 4th year, I am running the Boston Marathon in an effort to change the path of cancer. I run in memory of my siblings: Molly, Mary and John. My older sister, Molly, lost her life to brain cancer in 2008 at the age of 36. My brother, John, succumbed to the same type of cancer at age 32 in 2009. My sister, Mary, died on February 7 of last year from melanoma after 5 years and enduring an incredible amount of treatment. She was only 35 years old.

I run for them, to honor their strength and determination. I run to raise funds that will help researchers find a cure because cancer needs to be stopped. Because no family should have to endure this. Their strength, courage, and perspective has inspired me to help find a cure.

Please support this cause as generously as your means allow!

With great thanks and much hope,
Jennie
