Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising website for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As you know, I will be running the prestigious 114th Boston Marathon for cancer research. My first personal experience with cancer was my mother's diagnosis and subsequent death from leukemia when I was 11 years old. As a pediatrician who has taken care of children with cancers, I am strongly committed to furthering research to better diagnose and treat cancers. For me, running the Boston Marathon means so much more than just 26.2 miles. I will be running with my heart bearing the memory of my beloved mother and reflecting about all those innocent, fragile children who have suffered and succumbed from their cancers. I am honored and humbled to partake in this very special event of a lifetime on April 19, 2010 (Patriots' Day). The time is now for me to rise to the occasion. Please wish me luck and pray for me.
