A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM TONY:

Thank you for visiting my page and for considering a financial commitment to this VERY IMPORTANT cause!

On April 19, 2010, I ran the 114th Boston Marathon, the oldest and most prestigious endurance race in the world. I take a great deal of personal pride knowing I qualified to participate in this event, and it proved to be an experience of a lifetime. That said, I would consider it a far greater achievement to meet my fundraising goal for cancer research because THAT is a gift that can affect generations of people to come, long after the memory of my Boston experience has faded.

There are few of us who haven't been impacted by cancer, either in our families or among our friends or co-workers. Personally, I've lost a father-in-law to brain cancer, have a brother who had a brain tumor removed in 2008 (and is, thankfully, still cancer-free today), an aunt who is a breast cancer survivor, and a cousin who has been in remission from Hodgin's for several years.

Cancer is a terrible disease and one of the leading causes of death in our world today. In 2009, there were an estimated 1.5 million new cancer cases and 562,340 cancer-related deaths in the U.S. alone! We need to work together to find a cure. If you haven't already, please join my team in this important fight!

Thanks!
Tony
